Ms. Kunkel holds an AB degree from Occidental College in Psychobiology with a minor in Asian Studies, as well as an AAS in Medical Laboratory Technology from Anchorage Community College. She received her Master of Traditional Chinese Medicine degree from the Northwest Institute of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, pursuing extensive training in both acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. She was certified as a massage therapist prior to attending her acupuncture training and has pursued training in many other areas of interest including sonapuncture, meditation, spiritual evolution, and hands on energy techniques. Ms. Kunkel was a microbiologist/virologist and medical laboratory technologist for many years prior to delving into holistic health practices. She obtained her Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine degree (DAOM) in Clinical Integrative Reproductive Medicine in March of 2012 from Yosan University (Los Angeles). She is Board member and Fellow of the American Board of Oriental Reproductive Medicine and a member of Acupuncturists Without Borders, as well as the Alaska State Oriental Medicine and Acupuncture Association (TAOMAK).

Wendy is nationally certified massage therapist and has practiced in the Fairbanks area since 2000. She is trained in Swedish, Oncology massage, Certified in Advanced Myofascial Techniques (CAMT), Rossiter, Reiki1 & Healing Touch1. 

With her experience working within a hospital setting, chiropractic office, Holistic clinic and her own personal business, she has extensive knowledge and understanding of bodywork. 

As a Certified Thermology Technician she is looking forward to finding new ways to help people be the healthiest they can be.
